Mary Homan, Director, Voices of New York

SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

Mary established our chorus in 1982 at the YWCA of the City of New York. After the Y closed in 2005 we changed our name to Voices of New York and have been going strong ever since.

Mary earned a BFA in Vocal Music Education and an MM in Voice Performance from the University of Wisconsin.

A former professional classical singer, she currently teaches private piano, voice and music theory lessons in addition to conducting VoNY.

Besides VoNY and teaching, Mary's interests include animals, playing the piano, traveling to New Hampshire and Maine, hiking and reading.
